We have a new Advanced Auto in town. Big store, good location, Handy.
The old store had a mediocre staff. Mainly very young guys, just starting, able to find the easy parts but not too aggressive to help on the tougher stuff.
New store has an almost totally new crew and apparently a new employment strategy. Everyone they hired is over 50, some over 60. Result? Same situation. No knowledge, low energy, able to ring up the sale if you can find it on the shelf....and all very well fed. And slow.....a great place to go to kill an hour buying a $5 part.
Incidentally, Rotella 15w40 is $24/gallon but only $5 a quart in quart sizes. Says right on the tag .18/oz versus .15/oz. We customers must pretty dumb. Cheaper by the quart. Interesting pricing policy.
