You can install them without splitting the tractor IF you can get the oil pan off. On your Oliver 70 I am not sure you can get the oil pan off in the tractor with the cast frame/pan the engine sets in. IF you can then you remove the back main bearing cap. You then pick out the old top seal. Then there is a tool that looks like steel Chinese hand cuffs that will pull the new rope into the top side of the crankshaft. It works better if you loosen all the main bearing caps to allow the crankshaft to settle down some to give you more room. Then trim it to just a little longer than the housing on both the top and cap and re-torque the main caps.
