Anyone that has ever had a Lamborghini engine knows better than the ever have another one. There was a period of time that the message board manufacturers used small Diesel engines. The European small Diesel engines ran rough with so much vibration they would shake themselves apart. I specified Yanmar Diesel engines on the message boards for ADOT because they ran smooth as a gas engine and would not self-destruct.
Later some of the message board manufacturers came out with satisfactory LED message boards powered by solar power, so the engines were no longer needed. Some of the manufacturers tried to sell us message boards that would blank out is direct sunlight; that would become an instant liability to the State, so I refused to buy their brand of message boards.
Thieves stole a couple of the engine powered message boards. We assumed that they have been taken across the border to the south, but the frame turned up in a landfill in a small town with the serial number still stamped in the frame. No other parts were found. Somebody probably did have a Diesel powered Go Cart though.
