I have a 1000 hour JD 855 4WD with a no. 70 loader. IF you use a loader or a blade you will you will want 4WD. Mine has turf tires on it and it is helpless in 2WD. If you had bar tires and weighted it up it might be OK. Just my 2cts worth. They are dandy tractors and as stated before, really tough. I LIKE it.
