Been in the shop for 3 hours today, pops came home, and within a few minutes, we had the beast going! :)
FINALLY got the Farmall M to pop. Holy cow! She rumbles with that straight stack on there! :) It was blowing black smoke tonight, and running a little rough, but, I think it is all in the carb...
Holds oil, no leaks (except for a broken oil pressure line). Holds water, had it full of water all day with the oil drain plug out, never a drop. Makes spark, little weak in my opinion, but I think it will come around a little better, mag too... Dad (the carb wizzard) rebuilt the carb for a few weeks ago, and I got it painted... Best looking thing on the tractor! :P
Now, all that needs to be done is:
Install belly pump, and add remote hydraulic line Make a belt pulley rod, and a hydraulic rod Put belt pulley on Fix drawbar Swap out seats Weld up the hood a little Get the air cleaner on Figure out what is binding up in the steering Adjust the brakes Need to come up with a gen and get it put on as well...
And finally, swap my rear tires around.... ;)
Then it should be good to go! Just in time for winter!! Need to get it out of the shop so I can finish both of my JD B's! :)
So so so so happy that it is running.... Will try to get a few pictures of the beast tomorrow! :)

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Not a place one would associate with farms or farm machinery. I credit my parents for instilling a lot of good values, a respect for learning, a knowledge of various skills and a little knowledge of farming in me, amo
