Back many years ago (dating myself?), an elderly neighbor of mine played a joke on his uncle. Bill, who remains my favorite curmudgeon to this day, obtained a L'Eegs egg from his wife when she bought some new panty hose. He carefully glued it together and painted it an off white. He took it over to his uncle's house across the road, and put it in one of the chicken boxes. He often went with his Uncle Melvin as he did his chores, so this day wasn't much different- until they got to the chicken house. Bill waited outside as Melvin gathered the eggs. As he reached the rear boxes, he exclaimed,"My God the poor chicken!!!", until he picked the empty egg up. He then said, "That dammed Bill Greene!!!" There was no question in his mind who had put it there, as Bill was outside the hen house and quite full of himself.....
