A word to the wise on farming and insurance.If you only cross the road with your tractor,have anyone come onto your place to do something like buy hay you need a complete Farm Owners policy as homeowners insurance will not cover such things,lots of homeowners policy prohibit any 'business' activity or it'll not pay or cancel.Also these days a farm needs an umbrella policy on top of everything,I have a 2 million$ policy and figure thats the bare minimum.Personal liability claims can add up in a hurry.
