Sorry, gotta be an oddball, here. All spring reminds me of is four months of hard work ahead. Fall is the best time of year for me. It's hunting season. (Hip, Hip, Hooray!! Not only is it hunting season, but I can simply say "To heck with it" with the unfinished projects and relax in a tree stand or blind and enjoy the sounds of the woods and some peace and quiet. "Yes, if that stinkin' cell phone rings while we are on watch, I WILL shoot it out of your hand"! (smile) To me, winter is the time to rejuvenate for the next year and spend time yakking with fellow YT'ers. Yes, I do realize -30 and nothing starts is a bummer. I still like winter, for a multitude of reasons.
