Jiles,
When we are out and about Monday through Friday, I'm sure that we all encounter or at least see UPS trucks all over the road. Think about it for a minute. When we are out and about on weekends, or at least Saturdays, do we see or encounter UPS trucks all over the place like we do during the normal work week, other than during the Christmas Holiday season? I don't, because they aren't all over the road on weekends for a reason. I won't say that there aren't exceptions, but the truth of the matter is that they aren't all over the road like the work week because like most of us, most of their employees aren't working because its the weekend and companies just don't like paying overtime to staff...fully, if there isn't a need or reason for it, and generally there isn't which is also why the U.S Post Office finally figured out that its about time to stop Saturday deliveries, which they say that they are going to do as well. UPS working on Saturdays? Sure, a skeleton crew, probably part timers at that, not on overtime, or possibly full timers on overtime for the exception delivery that has to be made, no exceptions. I as a telephone repairman/installer do work on weekends if and when its scheduled ahead of time, or an emergency call out, and there is some serious overtime pay involved when I do...but like most people, I don' work weekends and my company doesn't staff full staff on weekends either. For the most part, people won't see my truck on the road on weekends anymore than they see UPS trucks or FedEx trucks on the road on weekends, although there ARE exceptions. Besides, you said that you have a tracking number and know where the UPS place by you is. If Monday delivery won't work for you and since you were available yesterday and they were open... Just a thought.
When you get your part Monday, use it in good health. Take care.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
