I wouldn't even expect a JD dealer to have any parts for a 5 series anymore. Its getting rare to see a 20 series JD in the field around here. 00 series disappeared 10 years ago for the most part. Neighbor of mine who ran a squareback 105 from the early 70s to the mid 90s told me he was able to walk into any of the JD stores around here and walk out with whatever part he needed up til the 90s. Even then he was still able to get half of what he would ask for. He also ran a Case 1060 combine from around the same time but had to sell it off in the late 70s when the parts/service became nonexistent around here.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
