Since JD does not make belts, just buys them in bulk, marks thrm up, and sells them, it is surprising they would not continue to sell those belts. Makes no sense.
Nearly every belt, ESP vee belt, is a stock item made and used in many many many different applications, machines, brands, it is just standard to have a big stock of belts available. That belt must not be commonly used on other JD machines, for them to not stock it.
Generally bearings and belts and chain can be found locally or mail order from a couple places much cheaper than oem, whether JD, CIH, Agco, etc. these companies do not make belts or bearings, they buy them from the 3-4 companies left in the world that do make these common items.
JD folk especially seem focused on only buying such common parts from Mother Deere. Check around to parts suppliers, 95% of what you need is sold same brand or better from the suppliers! for less.
Shoup, JayDVee belts, Baum Hydraulics, Surplus center hydraulics, Napa, and many others will get you the part quicker than the current Deere setup of regional multi dealerships where your part is always stocked at the farthest location and costs extra shipping and a day or two to get to you any more.
