G'Day JD. I'm older than you and look at retirement this way. Both you and I have reached this plateau in life while my wife and your first wife were not as fortunate. We get to play with grandkids that our wives did not get to do as well. I too am there to help the boys when needed and offer advice when asked. Think how fortunate we are,in that many others not involved in farming,aren't able to keep on keeping on in something that we love. This weekend is our Canadian Thanksgiving and,on refection,this has been one of the best years I have ever experienced in farming, and our family has welcomed another grand-daughter as well!! Nothing better!!

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
