I am a JD guy for the most part. Right now that's all I have. I think their model numbers are mind boggling !!! I sure can't keep up with them. Overall I fear JD quality went down and Kubota has gone up over the years ? I have owned a lot of each in the past. I'd find good used ones and run them awhile and sell them and then get another. Most I had were just too small for the loader work I do when I do use them which is not too much. Right now I have a 2000 JD 5105 4x4 with a loader. Loader is VERY strong and lift pretty high for loading and unloading items. Not to big of a size overall. Kubota a few years back came out with a new hydro which I have not ran but it is to automatically shift from low to high range if I understand the literature correctly. After running a smaller one where I had to keep going from low to dig and scoop to high to transport and an odd placed shifter this sounded like the answer.
