First off we need to establish exactly what you have, In your Heading you say Deering, in the message you say McCormick Deering. There were 2 companys with simular names and one was Deering And the other was McCormick Deering. I cannot see the mower in picture good enough to identify it. Deereing model was "little giant" for one, I know there were others. If it is a McCormick Deereing then models were NO. 4, Big 4, No. 6, Big 6, No. 7 & No. 9 in horse drawn mowers. I do have the parts books for all the above models. I would have to dig out my books to say exactly on years But if I remember correctly the No. 6 was called a model E the first year in 1915 with model changing to No. 6 for 1916 and they went up to 1926 as the No. 7 that followed came out in 1927. The NO. 9 came in 1939 up to around 1950. I might be off a year or so on those models as this is just from memory. Over the years I have had No. 4, Big 4, Big 6, A few No. 7 and a few NO. 9 mowers. Now what all parts do you need as some are the same from the earliest No. 4 from 1895 to the last model pitman mower, others only fit the No. 6 or only the Big 6. And I possibly do have a source for parts, both new and used. Not many open gear models still in use and the No. 6, Big six is the last of the open gear models. The NO. 7 and No. 9 are highly desireable mowers now for use. I cannot find enough of them. In the No. 7 & 9 models and field ready, that is no new paint or anything like that retail price is about $1,500 with a 6' cutter bar. I have a No. 7 setting here that is in about the same condition as yours is that as soon as I get my truck ready to pull a trailer, (previous truck was totalled 4 weeks ago when car did not slow down for stop sign).I need to deliever it. These mowers all go to Amish for use. Some will buy and pay high prices for and model steel wheel mower even if the is no parts support avaible for them. The difference between the No. 6 and the Big 6 is frame size as the No. 6 was affered as a 5' or 6' mower, the Big 6 was also offered as a 7' mower. The Big series had wider wheels for more traction needed for the longer bars. Some had the rib down the center of rim like yours and others did not. And it looks like yours had a lot of ware as the lugs look worn down. I have opened my email.

Today's Featured Article - Show Coverage: Journey to Ankeny - by Cindy Ladage. We left Illinois on the first day of July and headed north and west for Ankeny, Iowa. Minus two kids, we traveled light with only the youngest in tow. As long as a pool was at the end of our destination she was easy to please unlike the other two who have a multitude of requirements to travel with mom and dad. Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
