I know you want to make the parts you have work, but be real! Not only work to get those brakes working again and get the springs mounted, it will be lots of time and $$. Don't know what size tire goes on that hub but with a 10 in brake, is it 14.5? I got 6k dexter axles and I think it has 12 in brakes. With 4k load and 2.5k trailer weight, those are nice to feel holding back the truck and trailer. Also, some states I believe, ban the use of mobile home tires for other uses. I understand 14.5 tires rated for non mobile home use are getting hard to get. When or if I have to replace the tires, I will look for new axles that take 8 lug 3/4 ton type wheels. Also will go for torsion rubber instead of springs. Or I may look for a new trailer. See where I am going with this? You will probably be happier with a good used trailer that is built for what you want to do. In long run it can be less expensive. I know you are in this as a project but trailers are not that expensive, even new off the dealer's lot. Have 20 or 22 ft of deck. I got 18 and many times would have liked 2 more ft. Not what you want to hear but HTH
