I would be kind of surprised if 1/3 of Americans can afford a new car - but then again I guess a Kia Forte is a new car. I'm 48 years old and make pretty good money and my wife is a school teacher, I would never consider buying a new car - just too expensive. I bought one new car in my life - the week before I graduated from college I bought a brand new 1991 Ford Ranger XLT. I paid $9,100 for it with tax - I'll never do it again.
The last 5 2014 F150 XL pickups the company bought were all priced at 24,500, super cabs with the 5.0 engine and the 101A interior package (actually makes it a pretty nice truck). We have bought 2 2015s, one an XL just like the 2014s - $26,500 with the aluminum body. The other was a loaded up 2015 XLT 5.0 with the 101A interior with a few other options - $31,400.

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
