We have a IH TD9B here, owned it around 25 years, been a good machine, but put a lot of work in it over the years, steering clutches stuck from sitting too long, muffler got a pinhole and water in motor, stuck and had to reline it, they are not a machine to leave sitting. Too many expensive parts for minimal use. My dad bought it originally to build a driveway and back then it was the Swiss army knife of construction tools, people dug basement with dozers everything. We dug tree stumps with it, drainage ditches, dug out rocks etc. Now I own a "modern" loader backhoe and it does all those jobs better and faster with less mess. The dozer sits even more which isn't good for it, I have considered selling it even especially now that I have a mini excavator too. Bottom line is there's other machines that are more versatile than a dozer nowadays
