I very well know what your feeling. The house will seem empty without the sound of children in it. We where lucky in that when my youngest moved out I already had grand kids that lived just across the lane. My wife baby sit them so we where never without kids then. The hardest part of moving off the farm last year is being out of the loop with the kids and grand kids. I was used to seeing them every single day. It is different now seeing them maybe once each week.
I can understand married couples having trouble when their kids leave. Your life changes back to each other and you both have changed over the years of raising a family. So you both may no longer be compatible like you where when you were younger.
