I've got a Motorcraft battery that came in a '95 Ranger. A guy pulled into the garage where I used to work, towing a small camper trailer and said he needed a battery, said he had to get a jump start this morning after camping all weekend.
I asked him if the trailer had it's own battery or ran off the truck battery.... truck he said.... I told him there was probably nothing wrong with it other than needing charged. I reached in and turned the key, it fired right up.
I'm not taking any chances he said, get me a new battery....hey, the customer is always right, right? So I did and took his old one home.
I've used that battery in several different rigs, a Dodge Maxivan camper conversion, a Dodge 1/2 ton, a small Ford motorhome and it now resides in an old Jeep CJ that I plow snow with. It sat all summer, I fired it up Saturday to get it ready for this plow season, cranked the Jeep over like it was new.
Can anyone top that?
After posting this, I expect the next time I go to start the Jeep it will be dead.
