My wife ran over a neighbor's dog with a dune buggy we had at the time. She was all upset but I assured her that the light foot print wouldn't injure the dog. Sure enough we saw it running around the next day. Ran over a "chaser" with my fully loaded van once and I watched it run off. Funniest (if you can call it that) was once driving the same van; Collie hiding in the bushes jumped out and directly attacked my front bumper. I mashed the brakes but it didn't matter. Slammed the dog with the bumper, spun it around and right under the rear tire. In the mirror I saw the dog thrown right over the hedge of the local house. A woman, waiting for someone, at the corner, about 50 feet away saw it and screamed. I stopped, got out and ran (with the woman) up to the house to see the dog where it landed right on the front stoop. It was lying there panting with a big tire print right across its middle. The owner was in the doorway thumbing through a phone book. The woman says 'I think you should call a vet'. The owner (a woman) says to her in a snippy tone 'what do you think I'm doing?'. I say to her that I'm sorry but it just jumped out at me. The woman says to me; 'Oh don't worry about it, he does this all the time!'.

On our first cosmetic restoration, not having a manual, we carefully marked the wires, taped the magneto in the position it came off, and were careful not to turn the engine over while we had these components off. We thought we could get by with this since the engine ran perfectly and would not need any internal work. After the cleanup and painting was done, we began reassembly and finally came to t
