: : I need to move my 9N about 10 miles, but don't have a trailer. I've heard that its not good to drive on paved roads, but what type of harm might I do? : Just make sure she's all lubed up and don't run at to high an RPM. Use a slow moving vehicle sign on the back and if it is a busy road get someone to follow you with flashers on. You shouldn't hurt the tractor, they wuz made to drive as well as werk, just not to fast. And one more thought on safety....Lock your break pedals together before you hit the blacktop....it's amazing how quick a tractor will steer with only one wheel breaking on pavement!!.....and finally, keep a good eye out BEHIND you....plenty of crazies out there that think their grand dad willed them the road...Go for it but go for it carefully, Good luck!!
