: I need to move my 9N about 10 miles, but don't have a trailer. I've heard that its not good to drive on paved roads, but what type of harm might I do? One thing needs mentioned. Make sure you have a matched set of tires on the rear. Typically, different brands may be different heights and make no difference when out pulling implements or moving dirt out in the field, but will play hell with the spyder gears on pavement. Making sure a matched pair of tires has equal air pressure also applies. Other than that, go for it. The previous owner of my Case ran the engine with little oil pressure. Now that its fixed, I get misted down with oil sucking down the exhaust guides at road speed (12.5 mph), so the old dog gets a rented trailer when it is moved on the highway. Best Tractoring JPK
