I must say I am surprised... 3 Years ago I purchaced a model 70, it had a new holland mower with caster cobbled & mounted on the back. The tractor didn't run or wouldn't start. It looked worse that this tractor but It did have one better rear tire that I needed. It was newer I assume because it had a distributor. After points condenser, plugs & a few home made wires I got it running on all six. Changed oils, removed the tire & mounted a poorer one in it place. Junked the mower or parted it out & saved what I could. Scubbed it up & posted a forsale sign on it. Sold it in 2 days for 1250.00 to be used as a wood hauler. The man who bought still use's it as a wood hauler, since then he's bought a wood wagon and a set of tire chains from me for the 70.. maybe I was lucky? I'd still might take the chance again if I could really check out the machine. All I really tinker with is John Deeres, but I've owned a Oliver 60 for 6 months & Allis Chamlers B for 3 months & a Oliver 70 for about 2 months. Didn't loose any money on any of them. I have lost my butt on a couple deeres....... & Curantly loosing it on a 1944 John Deere A....
