I've used the liquid tape mostly as a moisture resistant coating, places like under trailers, wheel wells, trailer connectors... Places that get water blasted, prone to corrosion, pain in the rear to get to and do over!
But I can't bring myself to use it as a stand alone insulator. I prefer to use the liquid, then go over that with shrink tube where possible, tape as an alternative. Also when applying the final wrap of tape, I cut the tape, not just tear it off. That leaves it relaxed and won't start unraveling quite as soon.
I was looking at the Super 88 tape, sure enough the low temp rating is 0F. Never knew that... But that's not a real concern in Texas! God bless Texas! LOL
