A couple of years ago I bought a set of John Deere NU bottoms. Had them shipped UPS. The seller brought them to a store that did packaging to make sure they were packed properly.
A completely beat up box makes to to my house with 2 boards, 1 frog, one share and some misc bolts.
I guess they blew up the original box in transit then found what ever box they had laying around and threw what ever they found in it and sent it on it's way.
I talked to the guy at the store that packed it, he was amazed they were able to kill his packing. He said put a ton of time into securing everything.
The seller made it right with me and as far as I know UPS made it right with the seller. I felt bad for him, he wanted to do the right thing and it still didn't work out.
