I wish these beef cows were that accommodating. I took some culls to the sale barn yesterday,but there was one other one here that needed to go and I couldn't catch her or even get her calf away from her. Just before dark yesterday,she and the calf walked up in to the corral and I got'em. So,I had to make a trip in the other direction this morning to take her to a different sale barn. When I got there I didn't even see her in the trailer. She had laid down. I got in with her and she jumped right up,but we couldn't get her down the alley for love nor money. She just wanted to stand there and look out through the gate. I've had about enough of handling cattle to last me for a week or two I think.
