Brakes are hydraulic, using automotive brake fluid. Parking brake is all manual. NO connection between either and hydraulics/PS or transmission lube.
Transmission light is for transmission lube pressure, from a pump driven by the tranny top shaft that stops when clutch is depressed. There's NO connection between trans lube pump, light, and hydraulic/PS system.
Transmission oil is separate of hydraulic/PS oil.
So, have you checked BOTH the transmission oil level and the oil level in the hydraulic reservoir?
If hydraulic oil level is OK on the dipstick in the filler tube, you have a suction leak ahead of the engine accessory drive driven hydraulic pump, a leak at the pump shaft seal, or simply a worn out hydraulic pump that takes a while to prime.
Have you noticed any swapping of oil between the engine and the hydraulic system?
