I have restored two WD45's, and have not had any real problems. The two problems that I ran into was buying a tractor were it slipped out of 3rd gear. The other problem thatI had was with the fans, Be sure that the fan is well balanced, or it will shake the whole tractor. one thing that I forgot about was that on my first tractor, the housing above the PTO housing had a little crack in it, but is easy to fix with a grinder and JB weld. Overall, they are simple to work on, much easier than a John Deere, and when the governer is adjusted right, it has unbelivable power for it's size. Before you buy this tractor cheak the oil for water than drive it around, and than cheak the oil again. If there is any trace of water in the oil, DO NOT BUY IT.
