A Zapper, a friend got my Dad a zapper. It looks like a tennis racket, you swat bugs with it and it shocks them like the older bug lights. Myself, I don't see the enjoyment in hearing the crackle, but my Dad gets a kick out of it.
Or a bird house that mounts on the window with stoppers and has a "see through" back. You can watch the birds build a nest from inside the house. It has mirror type coating so the birds do not see you. I got my Dad one last year at end of spring, he said too late to put up so he will try it this spring. So can't say how good it is.
