Most Model A doodlebugs I've seen were made by combining the front of a Model A car with the tranny and rear from an AA truck like this one built by my wife's uncle back in the mid fifties.
He was a Ford mechanic since the 30s and did a real nice job.
He later installed even larger rear wheels and tires.
It was easy to drive and could climb a mountain like a goat.
