Sorry. I simply cannot see how that protects anything except the college's snooping. Students at a college are ADULTS. They are of legal age of majority. They are old enough to participate in choosing our leaders. In most cases, they are also old enough to buy their own alcohol. They are not going to be "stolen" as a small child or a baby would be. College students are young adults in training for making a living in the world around them. And you say it is necessary to track their movements to "protect" them???? From what????? Somehow, I just cannot buy that one. Sounds more like trying to make our campuses into more of a "nanny state" then they already are.
You can call it what you like, but "necessary" is just off the charts.
