There used to be 2 or 3 Syracuse Chilled/JD horse plows in the shed at home. Which is easy to figure since Syracuse is maybe 30 miles. The cribs we filled were long and skinny, and not built into a building, so we filled from under the eaves on the high side. The last crib Dad built he didn't leave the space big enough to stick the end of elevator in, so he made a chute for the end of the elevator. But then the little old elevator had to be raised way up to make the chute work! And it was a pain moving, because someone had to be on a ladder aiming/handling the chute!
