I spent 15 years in the lp gas business, as I have stated in all other posts about lp gas, NEVER rent a tank from anyone. You will get burned, maybe not this year, but it will happen. Remember, most of the 100 lp tanks are owned by some company. You may be able to buy one from a defunct company, but if you buy a used 1 private, the owner may come looking for it. They all have serial numbers on them and most company's can prove ownership. If you buy a dual regulator or for that matter any regulator, I think pampflet 58 states they must be replaced every so many years at great expense to you. Ask any independent propane supplier or farm Coop that sells lp gas. Most will have a propane specialist to assist you.
