I've about given up on our justice system. Exactly a year ago, I had two vehicles stolen. BY SHEER LUCK (and a little help from my niece who works in law enforcement), my vehicles were found about an hour and a half away in another county. The guy and his wife had about $100K worth of stolen merchandise on their residence. Since she was also arrested, the wife flipped on him and told the DA everything. He was found guilty, got probation and is NOT serving any time. I spent well over $600 of my money to get my vehicles back, including the impound fee from the towing yard. (I haven't figured out why they couldn't take that money from the thief. I just know they get all the rights) The cops gave me only a two day notice to retrieve my vehicles or they would be sold on public auction. I had to take a day off of work to get them back. The victim's compensation fund won't give me a dime because I live in a different county of the convicted thief. Since there was a lot of other stolen property recovered that was taken from my county, I talked to my county DA about pressing charges on the thief. They won't do a thing. So I'm out of a bunch of money and time, the thief sits at home on probation and lives off of welfare and my county won't prosecute. Par for the course, I guess.

Despite having to disassemble the majority of my John Deere 2010's diesel engine, I was still hopeful I could leave the engine-complete with crankshaft and camshaft-in the tractor. This would make the whole engine rebuild job much easier-and much less expensive! I soon found however, that the #4 conrod bearing had disintegrated, taking with it chunks of the crankshaft journal.
