If it's your land I guess you can raise anything you want. If horses are raised for meat that brings up a totally different issue with horse people. Just to let horses roam around on public land is not a good idea. Some gov land here in Ca cattle are brought in, feed on the grass, then removed after so many months. Wild horses and burros are rounded up from gov land here and sold. These animals were just doing too much damage. How do I know? I bought one of their burros. Stan
