Several years ago now, some of the guys working in setup and machine repair end of the business, didn't like the service manager much. In fact it was a mutual feeling. I was kind of in the middle, got along with both ends ok but he didn't give me any gruff. Anyway, they got the idea to put a ballast from an old fluorescent light in a box, left a few wires hanging out and set it in the guys pickup. He never even noticed until he got home. Showed it to his wife and she panicked. They didn't like her either. Anyhow, called the Sheriff who called the demo squad (or what ever it is called). They came all the way out from Mpls, 150 miles, used a robot to take it out of the truck. Of course figured out if was nothing but a joke. The perpetrator got taken to court on terroristic threat charges. He had enough problems already with DWI's etc and that kind of put the icing on the cake. Judge came down on him. He was a heck of a nice guy but could not leave the bottle alone.
