I just purchased a JD 1020 tractor with a front loader/bucket attachment. I'm trying to figure out (a) what year it is, and (b) if I got a good deal. It cost $5,600 and it has 792 total hours on the dial. It was used very little over the years from the previous owner. Everything works but what I'm really intersted in is finding out where the serial number/model number is. The only numbers I could find were on a metal tab about 1 foot below the seat on the frame. It said TYPE T4H3C MODEL 03736IT. Does that shed any light on the tractor? Any info on the JD 1020 tractor would be wonderful. It's my first and will be used around the lot to push things around to get ready for a home construction project. Thanks, jbrogan Maryland
