I was 20 years in the tire business and it is amazing to watch some of these people in their 4WDs. I think the issue is these Jeep ads that show them driving through 8' of snow (the ones where you can only see the antenna). People actually believe that stuff just like they believe in 'All weather tires'. These days SUVs have these real wide tires (to keep from rolling over) with smooth treads (to keep down road noise) and the owners wait until they're bald before going out in the snow blocking the road for 2WD cars with real (noisy) snows.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
