Blackhole, narrowing the front would be no problem, but as I see it the rear rims would have to be reversed and the tires remounted.
I can't see how this seat can be adjusted or re-configured to fit. I'm 6-0, 280, and when the seat is in its forward position the wheel rubs my belly and my knees are too high to comfortably use the brake/clutch pedals. The rear position is, someone pointed out, just a downtime position to allow rain to run off the seat. This position is much more comfortable insofar as the freedom of my legs to move, but the pitch of the seat makes me slide forward.
This is the same kind of seat I have on my JD 1020, and I never have liked that tractor for that reason. What I'm looking for the ergonometric comfort that my 8N provides.
