Whoever said "it will leave you stranded" hexed me. Yesterday drove to town for a tire repair. Nope, big gash, need new tire. Left that tire repair place for tire store and cruising down a busy street the engine quit suddenly. Threw it into neutral, and armstronged it into a parking lot. It would crank but none of the instruments in the dash were live . and it was not firing at all. Had it towed in and drove a loaner home. Tire ordered. Shop called this am and said it was the ignition switch. Parts and labor $350.Oh well that will make 700 I had to spend on it for the year. This is second post about my first post and I just hung a post-it note not to repost again.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
