But, education is much more than X number of hours sitting in a classroom. World renowned author, Louis L'Amour, quit high school in the fall semester of his Sophomore year saying school was interfering with his education. As he put it, "Why waste an entire semester on, say, general science when you can go to a public library, check out a book on general science, read and comprehend it in a couple of days, and move on to something else".
