What is your tub and shower surround made of? I have a couple of rentals. Both have upgraded bathrooms - tile shower walls, tile floor, enameled steel tubs. I've mostly had good tenants but you still have to some cleaning when they leave. I buy a couple gallons of muriatic acid and a long handled scrub brush and go after all the tile, grout, toilet, floor and tub with it. What that will clean is not only marvelous but amazing. I use it full strength out of a pail. Use a garden sprayer and full strength acid to get in hard to reach areas. Also use the sprayer to rinse those areas afterwards. I really flood everything with clean water afterwards. It will cut away calcium effortlessly but doesn't work on rust stains so well. I am no safety nut generally but for that job I do wear a good respirator, goggles, rubber gloves and old clothes.
