First one we got was given to us it was an older model already in early 2000's(a step or two up from DOS and Prompt only) That one was just a screw around, no printer, no internet, not much for programs.
My sister gave us the second one when she got herself a different one for/after college. That one had windows ME. That one got hooked to internet(dial up) and had a printer. Now we really got going using it(labels, signs, typed homework: teachers were starting to get mad with me still using typewriter for typed work).
Updated to this computer(along with printer) around 6/7 years ago. It was needed, the ME was starting to crash way to often to keep trying to use it. The internet was upgraded to higher speed towards the end of my last year in high school(5 years ago), because of all the required online school work I had to try to get done (or waste several hours more at school to get it done with the restricted(not allowed to search for a picture of a hamburger, really) use internet there).
Now its a good time killer(here, games,FB), as well as the world wide, instant know it all. Still don't trust buying things yet, unless like craiglist were the deal is done in person.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
