They promise to come, and when they "can't make it" and you contact them eagerly, they sucker you with a fake cashier's check for too much and you refund the balance before the cashier's check bounces.
I played with a Nigerian prince for about a month several years ago, kept telling him how thrilled I was that he would do such a favor for me but never gave him any of the information he was asking for. Since I had worked in Nigeria (he had no idea) when I got tired of it I told him my friends on Victoria Island (exclusive area of Lagos) wanted to meet him, in fact I had told him they were looking for him. No response.
