Another Wood-Mizer vote. We've got an LT40 bought new in the mid-1980's when you had to go to Indy to pick up your mill at the factory. Cousin was sawing with it a couple days ago to do up some special-dimension cherry for cow stanchions and it still cuts just fine. Depending on the level of automation you want, price can vary widely, and used mills are often available. If the original poster is anywhere near their factory, I'd STRONGLY recommend a visit--even if you don't end up with one, you will learn a LOT about sawing, assuming they're still as accommodating as they were 30 years ago when my grandfather and uncle picked up theirs, bringing it back to northern NY behind Gramp's farm truck--a '76 Dodge 3/4-ton.
