I worked at a John Deere dealership in 1990.We made a living on the 28 and 2940's.Poor specimen of tractor.As several other series of John Deere's.When you get one your paying for the green paint,in which I don't care for anyway.Don't know how some people can get so wrapped up in brands.I've got some farmer neighbors that think if it wasn't for John Deere the world would starve.And if it wasn't for Ford everybody would be walking.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
