Hi Jim,
That was my thinking but wouldnt this imply a voltage sensitivity, IE if it were designed for 12 volt, it would not open to charge a 6 volt battery? What is your opinion?

: I've never taken the lid off a solid state relay, but see no reason for it to contain anything other than one doide. It needs to let electricity through from the generator to the battery when the generated voltage is high enough to push it through, but never let any current back from the battery.
