Hi I think there was party lines round here in Manitoba in the 80's, That Was before I moved to Canada, our old dutch neighbor said they had it when they came here. The biggest problem they had was the line was shared with the local fertilizer/custom spraying company. He said if tractors were in the field, it could be days before you could get a free line and still be within sensible hours to make a call to somebody at night.
