404 Farmall

I am considering buying a 404 Farmall from a friend. It is in good shape mechanically-not to pretty though-has duel remotes and 3 point hitch. I know very little about this particular model of Farmall. Could someone tell me the pros and cons of it? I know they were made from 1961-68 but there are very few of them around this area. Were they not reliable? My friend bought it to resell so he knows little of it's personal history. Let me know what y'all know.
