Years ago we outsourced some small castings we couldn't get from our normal foundry in the US. The Chinese offered a far superior casting that looked like a machined part. The part number was clearly cast in crisp numbers. The USA equivalent had what looked like scratched in numbers which were hard to read. A real eye opener to us. But they won't supply a Ming Dynasty vase for Melmac prices.
